Oysters and champagne, what a great idea to spend the afternoon in London in some of the best London restaurants. London has many restaurants that offer fresh sea food and oysters as well. I have samples many of those tasty creatures and I have selected a few top places where you can enjoy them in London. Champagne is optional but I think they really taste the best with champagne.
1. Scott's - in the heart of Mayfair, 'see and be seen' by fellow seafood lovers in this amazing top London restaurant. Personally this was my best champagne and oysters experience. Book early to avoid disappointment as this is a one of the best London restaurants. Be ready to meet the glitterati of London.
2. J. Sheeky - Atlantic bar- this place is a legend amongst all theatre and opera goers. A London institution famous for amazing seafood and oysters. If you are into theatre you cannot miss visiting this place. You can either book a table or sit at the oyster bar. It is famous for actors dining there after the show and it serves late.
3. Bentley's - another top fish restaurant in London is the heart of the hustle and bustle of Mayfair and near Soho. Top quality fish restaurant with fresh oysters.
4. Savoy Grill - Savoy Hotel ... where do I start, what a place, and on top of all the glamour it has this amazing fish restaurant. Fantastic all round experience and if you add theatre to the mix, you cannot get a better night out in London.
5. Bibendum - South Kensington's answer to oysters and champagne concept , this beautiful restaurant has it all, a top class restaurant upstairs and a open plan space and bar downstairs and on top of all that a flower stand at the entrance. If this is not a place for a date then I don't know what is, hint hint!
6. Wright Bros - this is a chain of restaurants in many places in London, I have been to ones in Borough market and Battersea Power station. It is a slightly more casual place to enjoy your oysters but not less delicious. Fantastic fish dishes and oysters.
7. Wilton's St James - one of the most beautiful traditionally English restaurants I have ever been too. Let's travel in time to those good old days where things were done properly.... This place is an experience in itself and the oysters are amazing amongst others dishes.
8. Chiltern Firehouse - another place to see and be seen, this restaurant is a super fun place with a great bar to sit at and enjoy your oysters and other delights. Great start to a big night out!
