To beard or not to beard , that is the question... I think most men have tried it at least once in their lives and some has fallen a victim to this trend. Whereas it can look great and manly on a Hollywood actor or a model advertising grooming products, the reality of a beard is a bit different and it is very individual. As an independent spectator of many beards who is not trying to sell you any products, and most importantly as a woman, I am staying away from men with beards and I do not think women enjoy them in general, of course there are exceptions but I don't recall any of my attractive female friends ever saying they dream about a man with a beard. Let's look at some pros and cons though.
Here is the reasons why you should grow a beard:
1. A beard looks great on a Hollywood actor who is good looking and might be growing it for a role in a movie. Fact. Yes , it can look good if you are under 45 , don't have grey hair and you are generally good looking, but it is still scratching our skin and leaving it red and raw. So you can decide if you still want to do it to us or not.
2. If you are very young and want to look a bit older while being generally good looking , go for it.
3. If you want to spend lots of money on grooming products and trimmers as you enjoy the grooming process, fine!
4. If you are over 45, want to look much older and you have lots of grey hair, you want to repel younger women or even the same age women as you will look older than your age. Maybe you just enjoy being single and free....
5. You are way over 50 and you enjoy looking like Santa. This is a good look if you like giving out presents as otherwise most attractive younger women will not be interested in your look. Here I said it. Beard on an older man is extremely ageing. But maybe this is what you enjoy. In which case please go for it.
